Working with the vocabulary

The Vocabulary module is used to match products from external websites, portals, APIs, price lists, and other sources with products in your catalog.

To access the Vocabulary module, go to DictionariesVocabulary.

By default, only content managers have access to this module.

List of Contractor Products

! Explanation: The term “contractor” in the Pricer24 system refers to any site that the client wants to monitor. Pricer24 clients are vendors, distributors, and online stores. For vendors and distributors, “contractor” means the online store of a retail partner. For online stores, “contractor” means a competitor’s online store.

The entire list of contactors' products is divided into two groups (with subgroups):

Contractor Product: Information about the product from an external source.
Contractor: Name of the website, supplier, etc.
Name: Product name on the website, B2B portal, price list, etc. If the system contains a link to the product card, an icon will appear to the right of the product name.
Product item number: This column is hidden by default.

Matching: Information about the matching status.
Product: The product in your catalog that corresponds with the contractor product. If your system has multiple catalogs, the short name of the catalog will be displayed on the right.
State: State of the match.
Created: The date when the product was first entered into the system. This column is hidden by default.
Changed: Who last edited the connection, and when. This column is hidden by default.

To display hidden columns, select Columns in the toolbar, then drag the desired column from the window that appears to the table. To hide a column, drag it from the table back to this window.

Filtering Entries

You can filter entries with the Filter button on the toolbar.

Name: Search by the name of contractor products (including by partial product names).
Category: Select the category of contractor products. The system determines a product’s category according to the Category Rules in the Data Upload module.
Availability: Filter by availability assigned according to the Availability Rules in the Data Upload module.
Our Product: Search for entries matched with your product (supports partial product names).
Matching Type: Filter by type of entry matching. Auto means that the system performed the matching. Manual means that the matching was done by a person.

After choosing the desired filter(s), select Apply.

State

Matches have the following states:

New: This is a technical status; the system will try to automatically match entries in this state. If unsuccessful, the status will be changed to “Not matched.” Products in this state are not available in the vocabulary.
Not matched: The data entry is unprocessed, and the system doesn’t know how to interpret it. Data from such products will not be used in Pricer24 reports.
Matched: The contractor product has been matched with the corresponding product in your catalog.
Not in the catalog: There are no products in the system that correspond to the product on the contractor’s website.
Excluded: Marks the entry as unnecessary. This is recommended for discounted products and those whose data you do not need.
Postpone: Used when an entry is difficult to interpret and needs to be skipped now and reviewed later.

Matching

Single Matching

To change a match, double-click the entry or click the icon to the right of it. If the contractor product is unmatched, a matching dialog will appear. For more details on product matching, refer to our article on Manual matching. For entries with any other status, a dialog will open displaying information about the current matching, in which you can also delete the match.

Group Matching

To change the status of multiple entries simultaneously, select the desired entries and choose a new status from the toolbar.

Note that all selected entries must have the same initial status to apply group changes.

There are several ways to select multiple entries:
Hold CTRL and select the desired entries.
Hold SHIFT and select the first and last entry in the range.
Left-click and press CTRL+A to select all entries on the page.
Left-click (press and hold) to display checkboxes for product selection. To hide the checkboxes, left-click and hold again.

Automatic Matching

To make the system attempt to match entries again (for example, after adding item numbers to your products), select Match in the toolbar. In the window that appears, select the entries that you wish to match and initiate the matching process.

Please note that this process may take some time; a progress bar will be displayed in the window.
