Manual matching

To manually match a contractor’s product with your product, go to the Vocabulary module and double-click the desired entry in the list.

Only entries with the “Not matched” status can be matched with your product. If you want to change the matched product for an entry that already has the “Matched” status, you must first delete the existing match and then match the entry again.

Matching Dialog Window

The dialog window consists of two sections:

Information about the products being matched.
When the matching dialog opens, the system searches for products with the same name that have the status “Not matched” and suggests matching them all at once. If you only want to match specific products, select only those entries.
In addition to the product name, the table displays the brand and item number obtained from an external source.
If the product has a link, you can click on the internet icon to follow it.
A contractor can have multiple products with the same name; in this case, there will be multiple entries in the table.
The price column displays the maximum price for an entry among those assigned a Price Group in Data Upload.

Selecting the corresponding product from your catalog.
By default, the system attempts to automatically find a match in your catalog. If successful, the Auto button will be activated, and the selected options will be displayed. You can read more about the matching algorithms in this article: Masks Algorithm.
If the system is unsuccessful, you will need to manually select the product. To do this, find the product to be matched using the search bar.

The system automatically filters the catalog by brand and categories based on the contractor’s product data. You can remove a filter by selecting X in the corresponding field. If you prefer the system not to apply this filter by default, select the checkbox to the left of the field and the filter will not be applied when the matching window opens. The filter value for the status field is remembered when closing the window.

To match a product in your catalog with a product found in the contractor website, select found product and choose Match at the bottom of the window. The number indicates how many contractor products will be linked to your product. Alternatively, you can double-click a found product to match it with a product in your catalog.
If there is no appropriate match in your catalog, or if you need to postpone or ignore an entry, select Postpone or Exclude.

Creating a Product from the Matching Dialog Window

Sometimes, it’s necessary to create a product if you don’t have one. To avoid switching to the Products module, the matching window allows you to create a product in the desired catalog if:
You have access to create products
The catalog is accessible
The catalog is not synchronized automatically

Select the button with the name of the catalog in which you want to create your product, and an additional tab will appear.

The system will pre-fill some fields based on the contractor’s product data. Review these fields, complete the necessary ones, and select Create. The system will create a new product and automatically insert its name.

You can now match the entry to the newly created product.

The same checks are performed during product creation as when creating a product in the Products module.
