# Working with tags

In Pricer24, you can create and assign tags to products and contractors. Tags are a convenient way to mark records, making it easy to quickly filter the necessary data in reports.

# Creating Tags

1. In the menu on the left side of the screen, select **Dictionaries → Tags.**
2. Select **Create tag** in the toolbar.

3. Select the type of tag you want to create: **Product Tag** or **Contractor Tag**.
4. Fill in the required fields and select **Save**.

Field Descriptions:
* **Type** – an auto-filled field that determines which type of records the tag will be available for (product or contractor)
* ** Name** – the name of the tag
* **Alias** – used in scripts and synchronization tools; only lowercase Latin letters, numbers, and the symbols “-” and “_” are allowed
* **Icon** – an optional field used to further highlight a tag. The icon library can be found [here](https://materialdesignicons.com/), where you can also view icon names. Start typing an icon name in the field and a dropdown list will appear from which you can select the desired icon.
* **Color** – the color of the tag
* **Working with tag** – for product tags, there are two modes: Manual and Script. Select Manual.### Зміна тегів

### Editing Tags
To edit a tag, hover over the tag (it will be highlighted in blue), then select the option you desire:

For **contractor tags**, there are three options:
* *Edit* –  allows you to edit the tag fields
* *Delete for All* – deletes the tag from all records
* *Delete* – deletes the tag from all records, then deletes the tag itself

For **product tags**, there is an additional option *Tags*:

Clicking on it opens the [Product Tag Management Window](https://help.pricer24.com/en/article/bulk-operations-with-product-tags-exporting-and-importing-product-tags-rifmmu/#3-product-tag-management-window). This option is very useful when you need to assign or remove a tag from an entire list of products. For example, if you want to assign a new tag to many products at once, or if you need to remove a tag but only from some products.

# Working with Contractor Tags

To assign or remove a tag from a contractor:
1. In the menu on the left side of the screen, select **Dictionaries → Contractors.**
2. Double-click the desired contractor, or choose the **Edit** icon (pencil icon).
3. In the window that appears, go to the **Tags** field. Add or remove the necessary tag.

4. Select **Save**.

Tags assigned to a contractor will be displayed in the contractor list.

# Working with Product Tags

There are several ways to assign or remove a tag from a product.

### Products Dictionary

1. In the menu on the left side of the screen, select **Dictionaries → Products**.
2. Find the necessary product using the filters.
3. Select the product to open fields for editing. Then go to the **Tags** tab.

4. Set the necessary tags by moving the slider to the desired position (enable or disable the tag for the product).
5. Click **Save**.

### When Creating a New Product

It is possible to automatically assign one or more tags when creating a new product.

1. In the menu on the left side of the screen, choose **Settings**. Then select the **Company tab** 🠒 **Catalogs** 
2. Double-click the desired catalog, or click the **Edit** icon.
3. In the editing window, go to the **Novelty Tags** tab.
4.  Select the necessary tags.
5. Click **Save**.

### Managing with Scripts

In Pricer24, you can automatically assign or remove tags according to business processes.
